The IcyMP3 application captures internet radio streams and records them to a local hard drive in an MP3 audio format. It's compatible with the Shoutcast® media streams which are widely available around the Internet. Individuals broadcast various types of audio content to include different genres of music, political commentary, gaming news, comedy and more. Simply search the internet for "Shoutcast" to locate one source of websites that provide Internet audio broadcasts. Audio tracks can be separated into individual MP3 files or one large MP3 file can be created . The amount of audio recorded can be limited by file size or length of recording time. A bookmark interface is also provided to save the stream descriptions and URLs of your favorite internet radio stations for future use. The graphical user interface was designed with ease of use in mind. Even though the interface is simplistic, please take a quick look through the different areas of this user guide to fully familiarize yourself with the application and its features. Keep in mind this is version 1.0. If you have any suggestions for improvements or have a feature in mind, let us know and maybe we will add it to the next revision.
